Return Policy and Guidelines

LOCATO Engineering Private Limited ,LOCATO is committed to providing high-quality geospatial equipment and services. This return policy outlines the conditions under which returns, replacements, or refunds may be considered. By purchasing from LOCATO, you agree to the following terms.

1. New and Unused Product

LOCATO offers a 7-day return policy on most new and unopened equipment, starting from the date of delivery.

Products that are opened, used, installed, or damaged are not eligible for return.

Return shipping costs for unwanted products must be borne by the customer and are non-refundable.

In cases of valid customer-initiated returns (e.g., “no longer required”), a 15% restocking fee will apply, and refunds will be provided as store credit only.

2 . Defective or Dead-on-Arrival (DOA) Products

Customers must report DOA, non-working, or physically damaged products within 48 hours of delivery via email or WhatsApp.

For GNSS receivers, LiDAR units, and electronic components, customers must provide an unboxing video and proof of defect.

Replacements will only be processed after LOCATO’s technical team verifies the defect and/or after manufacturer approval (if applicable).

3. Condition for Returns

To qualify for return, the product must:

Be in brand-new condition with no signs of use.

Include all original accessories, cables, antennas, manuals, batteries, and packaging intact.

Have all warranty seals and serial numbers intact.

If items are returned in non-original condition, missing accessories, or tampered warranty seals, LOCATO reserves the right to reject the return and ship the product back at the customer’s expense.

4. Warranty Coverage (Generic Outline)

Warranty terms vary by product type and brand. The following general guidelines apply unless specified otherwise:

GNSS Receivers / Boards / Antennas – 12 months manufacturer warranty for defects (excludes water damage, misuse, or unauthorized modifications).

LiDAR Sensors – 12 months warranty for manufacturing defects only. Excludes calibration drift due to improper use or field accidents.

CORS Subscription Services – Non-refundable once activated. Service quality depends on user-side internet and hardware setup.

Cables, Mounts, Accessories – 30 days warranty against manufacturing defects.

Batteries / Power Units – 15 days warranty covering DOA or manufacturing defects. No warranty against swelling, overcharging, or misuse.

NOTE: Warranty does not cover user errors, accidents, physical damage, or failure to follow recommended installation/operation procedures.

5. Missing Items or Accessories

Claims for missing products or accessories must be reported within 24 hours of delivery. Beyond this time frame, claims will not be entertained.

6. Return & Replacement Process

Contact LOCATO customer support with order details and proof (photos/videos).

LOCATO will review the request and, if accepted, provide return instructions.

If the product is defective, LOCATO may arrange for return shipping. If unwanted, the customer must bear shipping costs.

Returned items will be inspected by our technical team. Processing time may take 5–10 business days (or longer if detailed testing is required).

Once approved, an exchange, replacement, or store credit will be issued. Refunds (if applicable) will be subject to restocking and gateway charges.

7. Exclusions

No returns for custom-manufactured GNSS boards, special-order equipment, or activated software licenses.

Service-related fees (CORS subscriptions, technical support, training, or calibration services) are non-refundable.

Returns will not be accepted for products damaged due to incorrect installation, mishandling, or modification by the customer.

8. LOCATO’s Rights

All returns and warranties are handled on a case-by-case basis. LOCATO reserves the right to make the final decision on replacements, refunds, or rejections. If you are uncertain about our policy, please contact us before purchase for clarification.
